Evelyn B. Feilner Martin

Mrs. Martin was retired after 20 years of service as a secretary at Scott Air Force Base. She was a very active member of Trinity U.C.C. in Belleville, Illinois. Evelyn was a loving and devoted mother and a caring and nurturing grandmother and great grandmother.

Those whose lives were touched by Evelyn know what a kind and gentle soul she was and she truly made this world a better place.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Martin, her parents; Oscar and Ines, nee Amos, Feilner, a son, James A. Martin, two brothers; Richard and Virgil Feilner, and a sister, Bessie(Bob) Rosenhoffer.

Surviving are her granddaughter, Nicole (Derek) Pfeffer of Belleville, Illinois, two great grandchildren; Isabella and Kasten Pfeffer, a brother, Dennis (Patricia) Feilner of Clarksville, Missouri, two sisters; Phyllis Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas and Carol (Bill) Deason of Farmington, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, July 29, 2016 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois with Rev. Cory Hartz officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
