

to be with the Lord. She was residing in her California home, being cared for by her
“angels” after being incapacitated by a stroke occurring on her birthday , Dec. 14, 2009
Born in Belleville, Illinois on December 14, 1917 to the late Eleanora Wagner,nee Ittensohn, and
George John Wagner. After marriage she lived on the family corn and soybean farm in Belleville
her entire life. In her later years, she spent winters in LaJolla, California, sharing her home
with daughter Judy. She was blessed with twin daughters, Judy and Jackie, whom she raised
with total love and devotion. “ God sent us an Angel for our Mom. We look forward to seeing you
in Heaven”
She was predeceased by her loving husband of forty eight years, Orville A. Warring and three
sisters, Mary Ellen Junker, Elizabeth Malacarne and Cecelia Brutto.
Georgie’s love of learning was a constant throughout her entire life, she attended Belleville
Junior College and received an associate degree in Business Law. She became the first
woman to be employed at Greiesedieck Brewing Co. and was personal secretary to
Mr. Greiesedieck.
She later moved on to Scott Air Force Base, achieving the highest Civil Service Level as a
Procurement Officer. She loved and lived life to the fullest. She was well known for her spirited
conversations, delicious custard pies and fondness for birds. She belonged to the National
Audubon Society, Saint Clair Farm Bureau, and was a dedicated benefactor to the National
Republican Committee. Mrs. Warring was a devout member of Saint Mary Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was
her family, especially her husband, beloved twin daughters and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Hillner of Washington, NJ and
Judith Bottini, of LaJolla California. She has been blessed with seven
Grandchildren, Anne Beste, Frances Bottini, Edward Bottini, Lisa Stafford, Kimberly Olson
Pamela Malatesta and Jennifer Wagner.
Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Charlotte and Theodore Stafford, Elizabeth and John
Olson III, Olivia, Chase and Phoebe Malatesta, Hattie and Deiter Wagner, Sophia and Luca Bottini,
Grace, Caroline and Shane Beste, and Kate and Jack Bottini.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary Church, Belleville, Illinois on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10:00 am with Fr. Bill McGhee officiating.
The family will be receiving visitors at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 4pm thru 8pm. Burial will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
