

Geraldine Frances “Geri” Riggle née Steinhauer of Swansea, Illinois, born December 31, 1949 in Edgemont, Illinois passed over on December 25, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Melrose “Mel” and Virginia Kathleen “Kitty” née Mueller Steinhauer of Edgemont, Illinois, her sister, Helen M. Steinhauer of Edgemont, Illinois, her brother, Melrose W. “Mel” (Carol) Steinhauer of New Hebron, Mississippi, her husband of 41 years, Robert J. Riggle of Swansea, Illinois, and her brother-in-law, Harlan A. Slone, Sr. of Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Geri attended East Side Senior High School, East Saint Louis, Illinois, Class of 1966. She was a homemaker and Driver for Illinois Central School Bus Company, O’Fallon, Illinois, for 10 years. Geri had varied interests including genealogy, bowling, crafting, cake decorating, floral arrangements, jewelry making, home decor and much more. She cherished her family, friendships, and her significant other of eight years, Salvatore C. Grosse of Belleville, Illinois.
Surviving is her sons, Spencer W. (Michelle) Riggle, Sr. of Belleville, Illinois and Jeffrey W. Riggle of Swansea, Illinois, three Grandchildren, Madilyn J. Riggle, Jadyn H. Riggle, and Spencer W. Riggle, Jr. all of Belleville, Illinois. Her stepchildren, Yvette Altmann, née Riggle of Roachdale, Indiana and Darren (Carlos) Riggle of Plainfield, Indiana, her Sisters, Pearl M. (Wayne) Manley née Steinhauer of Belleville, Illinois, Marilyn R. Slone née Steinhauer of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and her brother, Joseph E. (Brenda) Steinhauer, Sr. of Collinsville, Illinois, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holden Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at the funeral home with the Reverend Ron Habermehl officiating.
Interment will be held in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
