Greg proudly served his community in law enforcement for 36 years. He began his career with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, where he served for eight years before continuing his service with the Swansea Police Department. Over the next 28 years, Greg rose to the rank of Police Sergeant, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow officers and the community he faithfully protected. His dedication, integrity, and calm leadership left a lasting impact on all who served alongside him.
Beyond his career, Greg found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing, and cherished trips to New Mexico and Colorado where he found peace in the beauty of nature. At home, Greg loved to watch the Blues and Cardinals games and could often be found happily putting together some impressive Lego sets, a reflection of his patience and creativity.
Greg had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cats and dogs, who were truly part of his family. Above all else, he treasured his family—his beloved wife, children and grandchildren—who were the center of his world. His steady presence, warm heart, and quiet humor will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Greg’s legacy of service, love, and devotion will live on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.
