

Harold retired from Scott Air Force Base as a Civilian. He was an Army Veteran serving in WWII and the Korean War. Prior to serving in WWII he was a Coal Miner at St. Ellens Mine and also was a Golden Glove Boxer. Harold moved to Knoxville, TN in 2001 to be closer to his family. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years of marriage, Doris, nee Kaysing, Conklin; parents, Jesse and Mary, nee Meddows, Conklin; son, Robert Drysdale, sister, Jenny Clover, nee Conklin; brother, Gilbert Conklin, Newman "Midge" Conklin, and Jesse "Conk" Conklin, nephews, Bob Clover and Louis "Skip" Conklin
Surviving are his grandchildren, Mike (Susan) Drysdale, and Rick (Kathy) Drysdale of Knoxville, TN; 7 great-grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; daughter in law, Darlene Drysdale, Knoxville, TN; niece Deelores “De De” Dunlap, Ofallon, IL; nephew, Bud Conklin, Scott Conklin, and Bill Conklin; and many more nieces and nephews
