Helen Doris Bivins

Helen Doris Bivins, nee Kuni, 74, born Sept. 27, 1936, in Columbia, Ill., passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Columbia Convalescent Center, Columbia, Ill. Helen was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Dupo, Ill. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Howard Bivins; parents, Charles George and Edna Louise, nee Schlemmer, Kuni; five brothers and one sister. Surviving are her children, Wade Ray (Paula) Bivins of East Carondelet, Ill., Joe Porter (Amanda) Bivins of Dupo, Ill., Vera Ellen (Douglas) Freppon of Rolla, Mo., and Carla Mae (Mark) Griffith of Dupo, Ill.; grandchildren, Tabetha, Wendy, Jennifer, Victoria, Valerie and Caitlynn; 4 step sons, 13 step grand children, numerous step great grandchildren and two sisters.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill. Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Don Batchelor officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
