Irene M. Leonard Hopfinger

Irene M., nee Leonard, Hopfinger, 91, born June 19, 1921 in Germantown, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, Belleville, Illinois surrounded by her family.

Irene was a homemaker who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren

Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. Hopfinger, who passed away on December 27, 1996; her parents, Bernard and Frances, nee Nordhaus, Leonard.

Surviving are her children, Dennis (Linda) Hopfinger, Darlene (Gary) Gansmann, Carol (David) Harres all of Millstadt, Illinois; grandchildren, Melissa Scott, Scott (Carol) Hopfinger, Jamie Gansmann,, Jeff Gansmann, Ryan (Fiancée, Krysten Heitz) Harres, Cole (Fiancée, Jordan Rapoff) Harres; great grandchildren, Norah Scott, and Benjamin Hopfinger; Siblings, Helen Meyer, Wilbert (Bernette) Leonard, Evelyn (Ralph) Gonzalez; sister in laws, Marcella Hopfinger and Dorothy Youngs, also, survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 pm at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17,2 012 at 1:30pm at the Zion Evangelical Church, 117 West White Street, Millstadt, Illinois with Pastor Darrell Weber officiating.

Interment will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
