

Jane was born on May 4, 1952, in Wood River, IL, to Samuel G. and Glenda I. (Rush) Crader. She grew up in the area and graduated high school from South Roxana. She found her eternal love, William Coleman, and married him on August 22, 1980.
Jane was a dedicated employee at Olin Corporation for 40 years. Throughout her long career, she held many roles, but was most proud of her time as a skilled machinist and later as a foreman for .50 cal production. Committed to personal growth and advancement, Jane earned her Associate Degree from Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) and went on to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University (SIU)—all while working full time and raising her family.
She loved crocheting, baking, and playing cards all night with friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children Lisa Murphy, William (Nia) Coleman, and Cynthia Lee; her grandchildren Matthew, Amber, Ryan, William Jr., Carter, and Jaylen; and her siblings Leo Payne, Samuel Delbert Crader, David Crader, Doug Crader, Steve Crader, Harley Crader, Deborah Donaldson, and Kathryn Stark; and her life long friend and sister Sherrie Caldwell, and niece Laura Mellenthin; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished her deeply and will continue to honor her memory with love and gratitude.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Mark.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 9:00 am until the start of the funeral services starting at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home.
Burial will begin promptly after the funeral at Sunset Gardens.
The repass will follow immediately, in the banquet hall of the funeral home.
