

Jo Ann Marie Eddy (nee Frick) went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN surrounded by her family and friends. Jo Ann was born on June 15, 1941 in Belleville, IL, the daughter of Lester and Katherine Frick. She married the love of her life, Jack Eddy, on June 27, 1959. The coal mines moved them to the Sparta, IL area where they raised their three children. She owned and operated her own restaurant and had a passion for riding barrel horses. In addition to raising her three children, she and her husband also spent time as foster parents. She was known for her excellent home cooking, beautiful handwriting, crocheting, and her work of directing and acting in the South Baldwin Community Theatre in Gulf Shores, AL. Above all, she will be missed for the love and caring she bestowed upon her family.
Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; daughter, Stephany Ann; sister in law, Jeannie Frick; and brother-in-law, Phillip Minton.
Jo Ann is survived by two sons, Kenneth Lester of Sparta, IL and Robert Lee of Mexico, MO; grandchildren, Tyler Morrison, Dylan Morrison, Wyatt Morrison, Nick (Nikki) Eddy, and Nathan Eddy; great granddaughter, Piper Jean Eddy; one brother, Wes Frick of Belleville, IL; and one sister, Cathie Minton of Mackey, IN (whom Jo Ann resided with over the past 16 years); many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. The funeral is on Saturday, June1, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
