Joyce retired in 2011 after working 22 years for the DOD USAF Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base. Joyce graduated from Zion Lutheran School in 1958 and was a 1962 graduate of Belleville Township High School.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence E. and Helen E (nee Nollau) Bopp and a nephew Bryan J. Bopp.
She is survived by her husband Max W. Edwards. She was his sole and devoted caregiver. They were married on October 6, 1967 and were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary party on October 6, 2017.
Joyce is survived by a brother, Raymond W. (Jane) Bopp of O’Fallon, IL. Also surviving are a nephew Bradley J. (Allison) Bopp of Seymour, CT and great nieces Peyton and Madison Bopp of Seymour, CT, along with two great nephews Devin and Cameron Bopp of O’Fallon, IL, plus loving extended family and dear friends.
A private celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
