Karin Claire Ripley

Karin retired in 2003 from the ROHO group in Belleville, Illinois. In spite of a Glioblastoma brain tumor, she miraculously lived for 10 more years. Karin loved her dogs, Tix and Rebel, she spent almost every weekend with Tom at their piece of land on the Meramec River. She was an avid card player, very competitive and loved winning the “Dimes on the Side”.

Karin is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Thomas “Tom” L. Ripley; parents, Robert and Patricia, nee Allen, Schmidt; two brothers, Geoffrey Schmidt and Eric (Tina) Schmidt and a sister, Leah (Jeff) Ross, also, survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Karin was a delight to her family and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois

A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm with Rev. Monsignor Jack W. McEvilly officiating

A celebration of Karin’s life will be arranged at a later date
