She married her husband Michael on July 12, 1975. She was a faithful member of Grace Church in Fairview Heights and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She had a heart of gold and loved children, especially her grandchildren, and was also a foster parent. Linda was a bus driver for Wesclin and Mascoutah school districts. Linda enjoyed Christian reading, music, watching The Cardinals, and most of all, keeping up with her grandkids’ events.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Dorothea Juengel, her sister Alice Lewis, and her brother-in-law Randy Lewis.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Petrekovich, her children Tara (Kevin) Haar of New Baden, IL; Sydney (Daniel) Bridgwater of Fairview Heights, IL; her grandchildren Gavin, Gabrielle, Gianna, and Gracie; her siblings Virginia (Larry) Simmons, Rose Lewis, Andy (Judy) Juengel, Mary (Fred) Aleman, Donna (Roger) Rakers, and Angie (Bill) Luchesi; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, plus three dogs. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made out to the Clinton County Humane Society in Breese, IL.
Visitation will take place at Grace Church, 5151 North Illinois, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 from 1 – 3 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021, followed by a memorial service officiated by Pastor Hal Santos at 3 pm. Due to current Covid mitigations, the funeral service will be limited to family only.
