Matthew A. (Ryan) Kolb

Matt served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1963 through 1967. After leaving the service, Matt pursued a fulfilling career in Truck and Fleet Sales Management which included Downtown Ford of St. Louis, Meyer Oldsmobile and Schmitt Chevrolet in Belleville, IL, and George Weber of Columbia, IL. He retired in 2006 to enjoy family time with his wife Donna and his beloved canine companion, Molly. Matt’s concept of retirement included constant home remodeling projects and creating a sanctuary for birds and other wildlife.

Mr. Kolb was preceded in death by his father, Arthur H. Kolb; his mother Prudence E., nee Manley, Ryan; and 1 sister, Kimberly M. Kolb.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Donna Jean, nee Plummer, Kolb; proud father of Holly Rae (Robert) Schroeder, of Freeburg, IL; dearest grandfather of Hunter Matthew and Chase Ryan Schroeder; 1 brother, Kelly (Coco) Kolb of Ohio; 2 sisters, Kerry Glastetter Busbin of North Carolina and Prudence D. (John Krieger) Ryan of Missouri; and 2 nephews, Sean C. (Melissa) Glastetter of California and A.J. Kolb of Ohio.

For the enrichment of the Cancer Research Community, Matthew has donated his body to Washington University of Missouri.
