Melba Wheeler

Melba was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee C. Wheeler; children, Glen (Linda) Wheeler and Melva Wells; grandchild, Trinetta Beasley; parents, Ivan and Mammie Lou Jackson; sisters, Zelba Harris, Thelpa Martin, Gathel Reed, and Ocil Williams.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Brian (Roxanne) Wheeler, Kim (Pat) Hunter, Stacey (Brad) Kleeman, Christie (Michael) Carter, Amanda (Dan) Novak, and Justin Wells; many great grandchildren; sister, Glenda Jackson; and son-in-law, Leslie Wells.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with Rev. Jim Robinson, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow services at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
