Michael A Dinney

Mike was employed as a truck driver for over 40 years working at Heitman Poultry, Parrish Trucking, and Angelica. He was a hard worker with a great sense of humor. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends and generosity to all. Mike was a US Army veteran, and served a tour of duty in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Arthur and Barbara Denny; father in law, Michael J. Theiss.

He is survived by his 4 children, Lisa (Christopher) Rolen of Red Bud, IL, Carla (Terry) Gibson of Belleville, IL, Michael (Pamela Juenger) Dinney of Belleville, IL; and Karrie Dinney of Belleville, IL; 4 grandsons, Tyler and Chase Gibson, Cole and Connor Schneider; mother, Vera Wiesen, nee Denny; 2 brothers, his twin, William (Joan) Denny and John Wiesen; 2 sisters, Barbara (Bob) Simonds and Jane Wiesen; mother of his children, Karen Dinney, nee Theiss; special friend, Carla Wiechert; his beloved dog, Sadie “Booger”; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, In-Laws and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation to Hospice of Southern Illinois and a very special thanks to Dr. Dothager, who Mike fondly nicknamed “Dr. Smiley”.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, IL 62223.

Memorial Services will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the funeral home.

Per Mike’s wishes, he was cremated.
