Mike F. Jewell

Mr. Jewell retired from Terminal Railroad in 1996 where he worked as an Engineer. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. In his free time, Mike loved to hunt, fish, make jewelry and attend Flea Markets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald N. and Stephanie, nee Loskoski, Jewell.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn, nee Bigham, Jewell; three daughters, Susan Jewell of Belleville, ill., Kathryn (Dale) Fleddermann of Castle Rock, Colo., and Regina Jewell of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren, Alexander Jewell, Ian Fleddermann, and Emma Fleddermann; a longtime friend, Larry Werner; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Matthew J. Elie officiating. Entombment of his cremated remains will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at 10:00 am.
