Mildred’s faith and her family were the focus of her life. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Assembly of God in Cahokia, IL. Mildred was an incredibly caring person and was a mother to many, not just her own family. She loved to quilt and enjoyed making dolls and bunny rabbits. She was a wonderful woman and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Fisher; her parents Dean and Hazel Crawford; her siblings Shirley Crawford, Jerry Crawford, and Samuel Crawford.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children Randy Fisher, Marilyn (Wayne) Schaffner, Lesa (Christopher) Patten, and Christina Phillips; along with eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and sixteen great-great grandchildren; her brother Howard Crawford; and her best friend of over fifty years, Dorothy Mueller.
Visitation will occur from 11 am – 1 pm, on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm with burial to commence immediately after at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
