Richard was born in Belleville, IL on September 14, 1940 to Oscar and Mildred (nee Kaiser) Knoth.
He enjoyed a lengthy 25 year retirement after working at Granite City Steel.
He also enjoyed the country, his herd of miniature ponies and donkeys, and saxophones.
Richard is survived by his son, Ken Knoth, daughter, Kathleen Walsh, sister, Karen Yoch, nephews, and grandchildren.
