

Robert resided in Mount Olive, IL. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Robert was a truck driver, both independently and for many companies over the years and retired with ABF. He enjoyed his work and found pleasure in being on the road. Robert loved his family above all else, especially enjoying the holidays with them. He will be missed dearly by his friends at the diner and all who loved him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena (nee Ballentine) Pinkerton; and his loving wife, Marlene (nee Louvier) Pinkerton; his brothers, Gene A. Pinkerton, Carl O. Pinkerton; and sister, Martha Lougenia (Dempsy).
Robert is survived by sons, Robert Houston Pinkerton III (preceded in death by wife, Veda), Mark Pinkerton (Kim), Michael Pinkerton; daughters, Debbie Madeline (Al Jones), Karen Bickel (Ron), Vicky Biermann (Kenneth); grandchildren, Gina Trice (Mario), Christa Shutt (Ryan), Robert Pinkerton IV (Alesha), Jason Madeline (Michelle), Chad Madeline, Brittany Madeline, Ryan Cook (April), Josh Cook (Jenny), Chad Cook (Lauren), Lindsey Cook (Russ Clouser), Megan Proffitt (Jeromy), Kourtney Pinkerton (Jake), Katelin Pinkerton (Cody), Kirk Pinkerton (Mariann), Kyle Bickel (Ashley), Cody Bickel, Ashley McIntyre (Seth), Brett Biermann (Jenn); and 30 great grandchildren.
Memorials in Robert’s honor may be made to the family in order to assist a family member, who is in need of a liver transplant.
Private funeral services and burial is to take place at Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home and Valhalla Gardens of Memory, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223
