Ruby V. Reed

Ruby retired from Memorial Hospital after serving 35 years. She was a member of the Winstanley Baptist Church. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, camping, fishing, Sudoku, crossword and word puzzles. She loved traveling with her dear friend Sherman.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Reed; son, Michael D. Reed, parents, Ralph and Easter, nee Williamson, Smith; siblings, Harvey “Roy” Smith, Raymond “Harold” Smith, Fayola , nee Smith, Golab and her dear friend, Sherman Allison.

Surviving are her loving children, Kathryn A. Kessler and Robert A. Reed; grandchildren, Carlin M. Reed, Bryan P. Reed, Robert W. Reed, Alexander P. Reed and Jesse D. Reed; sister, Norma , nee Smith, Foreman ; daughter in law, Lois Kathleen Reed and a dear friend, Kara Luttrull

Funeral: Services will be held at 10:00 at on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois with Dr. Steve Phillips of Winstanley Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will follow services in Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois
