Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to being drafted, he was a promising pitcher within the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and overall sports fanatic. He worked as a foreman with Ameren Illinois. Thomas enjoyed a wonderful life with his loving family. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. and Louise, nee Hespenheider, Ripley; his siblings, Ernie Ripley, Ruthy Hopkins, Gary Ripley, and Robert Ripley; and his daughter-in-law, Karin Ripley.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his two sons, Thomas L. Ripley and Jerry (Tracy) Ripley; his grandchildren, Zachary James and Chase Ripley; a sister, Doris Pfeiffer, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
