Virginia was employed by Swift Packing Company in East St. Louis, Illinois for 37 years.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Amanda nee Wirth, Eckert; a sister Irene C. Knapp; brother, Elmer Eckert and a sister in law, Sheri Eckert.

Surviving are her sons John (Judy) Gutierrez of Byrdstown, TN; Manuel (Donna) Gutierrez of Belleville, IL: 5 grandchildren; Lisa Healey, Jason, Bradley (Jade), Chad & Brett Gutierrez. One Great Granddaughter, Samantha Healey; Brother in law, Donald Knapp, Belleville, IL.; nieces and nephews, Cathy (Rich) Kasson, Debbie Dressel (nee Knapp), Donna (Jim) Daniel; Donnie (Nancy) Knapp;

great nieces and nephews, Nick (Julienne) Dressel, Chris Kasson, Jimmy Daniel, Tyler Daniel, Alexander & Allison Knapp; great great nephews, Nicholas & Dominic Dressel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Gaerder Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
