A woman ahead of her time, Dora lived a life of adventure, embracing every opportunity with courage and determination. Her incredible journey began with life on the farm in Kanaskat and eventually took her across the globe, from trekking the mountains of Nepal to five transatlantic voyages starting in 1936. Along with her husband, Angelo, she visited relatives in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and explored the Mediterranean, Europe and the Caribbean on numerous cruises. At her insistence, she talked Angelo into moving the family to Florence, Italy from 1967-1968.
Dora's life was filled with love, extraordinary experiences, and cherished memories. She fulfilled her dreams and left this world with no regrets, a testament to her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Angelo died in 2015 and she leaves behind her daughter, Dorina (Rick), and sons Dan and Don (Karen), along with four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A private family service will be held in honor our mother.
