Frankie Van Lehn, of Bellevue, passed away on February 28, 2010 at the age of 91 years.
Frankie was born to Franklin and Flora Belle (Evans) Carter, in Blaine County, OK. She attended Secretarial School at Oklahoma A & M. She married L.G. “Van” Van Lehn and dedicated her time and energy into her home where she raised her dear children, Katherine, Richard, and Patricia. She attended and volunteered at First United Methodist Church of Bellevue, and was a member of the Easter Star. She also took pride in making dolls to sell at the Bazaar, making quilts to include with the layettes that were provided to new mothers, as well as preparing the church newsletter for mailing.
She is survived by her daughter Katherine Van Lehn of Bellevue, WA, son Richard and his wife Sethany Van Lehn of Frederick, MD; son in law, Mervyn Kemmerer of California; sister in law Maesel Hernandez of Milipitas, CA; granddaughters Catherine Kemmerer of Bellevue, WA, and Karen and her husband Joe Calabro of Lakewood, CO; great granddaughters Lynn Kemmerer of South Korea and Rachel Kemmerer of Mesa, AZ. Frankie is preceded in death by her husband L.G. “Van” Van Lehn and her daughter Patricia Gaile Kemmerer.
Funeral services in her honor will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:30 pm at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 – 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. Visiting hours are Monday, March 8, 2010 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Remembrances may be shared at www.sunsethillsfuneralhome.com.
