F. James Travenen passed away peacefully at Evergreen Hospice on March 26, 2017, he was 95 years old. He was married to Jo Travenen for 57 wonderful years and she preceded him in death in 2007. He has one daughter, Linda, son-in-law, Jim and two grandchildren, Julia and James.
Jim as he was known to friends and family was born in 1921 in a small Welsh town called Tredegar. He came from a close-knit family and had five sisters and a brother. Professionally Jim was a successful stress and structures engineer and worked for a number of different companies, Boeing being the last. He travelled the world for Boeing and regaled his family and friends with numerous stories. He had an infectious laugh, led a full life and died surrounded by his family. He was admired and liked by all he came in contact with.
