
Dr. Craig was born to Martha Sattler and G. Ralph Craig Sr. on Feb. 8, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio. The family moved to Clairton/Elizabeth, PA in the early 1940’s. George attended Clairton High School where he participated in both track and football. He received a football scholarship to Ohio State University where he received his degree in dentistry. He and his wife, Elsie, his high school sweetheart, relocated to Bellevue, WA in 1963 where he established his dental practice of 44 years. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and gardening. His love of fishing began at an early age. He spent his summers at Mifflin Lake in Ohio and later took yearly fishing trips to Alaska.
A true loving and family man, he is the father of three daughters and five grandchildren all of whom have always been his life’s focus. He retired to Camano Island, WA in 2003 where he was able to enjoy all of his favorite outdoor activities.
George is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elsie, daughters Dawn Craig (Brian Vaughn), Holly Chubbuck (Mike), and Heather Craig-Waters, five grandchildren, Natalie, Morgan, Jillian, Evan and Jared, brother William Craig (Connie) and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the near future.
