Jeff was remarkable, even as a child. He was always kind and mild mannered, never once needing disciplining. He went to Charles Wright Academy and Gig Harbor High School. School wasn’t easy. He was quite dyslexic, but in spite of that, off he went to Boston (when he developed his intense love of the Patriots) to later graduate from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences a Dr of Pharmacy.
Jeff had a brilliant mind – able to see things in a three dimensional way that made organic chemistry, physics and calculus easy. He was able to imagine and build complex computer systems and fix them when the IT guys could not. Who knows where he learned to do that?
Many knew him as the face of Olympic Pharmacy and Olympic Home Modification, but he was much bigger than that. His interests were broad and many, and when he focused on something, he devoted himself to mastering it completely. He loved motorcycles! He could ride horses and handle them confidently and he played ice hockey for years, the captain of his team.
AND, of course, he loved anything to do with the water: fishing, big boats, ski boats, kite surfing, wake boarding, jet skis, lift efoils – always buying enough so his friends could join him.
Jeff was a certified Open Water Master Diver and took several trips to exotic places to go diving. He loved the turtles best. He was also a bee keeper and had a flock of chickens that he housed in a fancy coop he built himself.
But what made Jeff who he was, was the love for the people in his life, especially his friends. There was nothing that made him happier than sharing his beloved lake house, all his toys, and cooking for his friends.
Jeff was generous to a fault, fair and supportive; always someone you could count on; a big hearted guy who was always a safety net for his friends.
How can we replace someone like that in our lives? It’s not really possible.
We can only honor his memory by living our best lives and living a bit for him too.
Jeff’s family, his friends and his dogs will always love him intensely FOREVER.
