

He was born on March 22, 1926 in Nashville, Kansas. In 1943, at the age of 17 he graduated from Wichita North High in Wichita, Kansas and joined the Marine Corps. As a member of the 6th Marine Division he fought with pride for his country in the Pacific and China during WWII.
Jack met the love of his life, Darlene (White) Hart in 1946 after returning from the war. They were married on January 11, 1947 and were married for almost 63 years when Darlene preceded him in death on October 20, 2009.
They made their home in Wichita, Kansas, where Jack worked for the Western Electric Company and then in 1948 he joined the Boeing Company. He was transferred to Seattle by Boeing in 1967 and they made their home in Redmond, WA.
Jack’s career at Boeing spanned over 40 years until he retired in 1988 as the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering of the Everett Division building the 767 and 747 airplanes.
He was an avid golfer and sportsman who thoroughly enjoyed being outside in the great Pacific Northwest.
He was a loving husband and father of four children, Sharron Spence of Paola, KS; Linda Hart of Payette, ID; Judy Hart of Auburn, WA and John Hart of Bellevue, WA. He also enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
