Lydia was born on February 18, 1932, in Mauban, Quezon Province Philippines. Lydia married Eduardo R. Pereira in 1960, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Throughout her life, she moved from the Philippines to Guam before finally settling in Seattle, Washington in 1975, where she made her home. Lydia started her career as a schoolteacher in the Philippines and retired from Regence BlueShield in Seattle.
Lydia's life was enriched by the time spent with her husband, connecting with friends and family, singing, cooking, and enjoying outdoor activities such as cherry picking. She was dedicated to her faith, had strong family values, and always prioritized her family’s wellbeing.
Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Eduardo R. Pereira. She is survived by her two daughters, Cecile and Madeleine, her son, Eduardo Jr. (John), and her three grandchildren, Jack Pereira, Joey Pereira, and Mateo Mendoza.
