Lynn was such a great friend. He never seemed to have a bad day and was always able to share memories of past encounters. He was thoughful charitable and  as smart as any man i had the privilege of knowing. Friends like Lynn  can not be replaced. God Bless you!😘

Lynn Anderson was one of the finest people I have known.  I worked with him at Russell.  If I ever had a mentor, or someone I would pattern my work after - it would be Lynn.  He always made time for me and gave excellent advice.  Even after I left Russell; he would call every so often to check up on my daughter and I.  I never met anyone quite like him - and I am certain I never will again.  He was exceptional in all ways.  I am sorry I didn't take the opportunities I had to tell him how much he meant to me.  
Heather - he loved you and your mom so much.  He spoke so much of you two.  I am very sorry for your loss.

Heather, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Dad.  Lynn and I started at the bank in Lawrence about the same time although on very different levels. When I moved on to Maupintour Travel he totally supported my growth and when I moved to Boston he continued to keep in touch. After he went to Russell he would always contact me when in Boston for a meeting and support me in my endeavors. His belief in me was a key factor in my starting my own business and taking risks. Lynn was an amazing man and he loved your Mom and you unconditionally. He often spoke of you both with such love. Even after he became ill he would occasionally call me to catch up. Lynn Anderson was among the finest gentlemen ever to live in Lawrence.  It was my privilege to serve with Lynn on the Board of Directors of The First National Bank of Lawrence, which prospered greatly under his leadership as President.  Lynn was universally liked and respected by all who knew him.  Heather, please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss of your Dad and, earlier, your Mom.

I met Lynn at Russell when he visited the New York office on occasion.  While chatting with him during one of his visits, I learned that he knew of my grandfather, an estate lawyer from Wellington, KS who had been in the state legislature, and I thought that was so great!  I always enjoyed seeing and chatting with Lynn.  He was a lovely man with a gentle smile and it was a pleasure getting to know him.  I'm sorry to hear of his battle with cancer and that the world has lost a kind soul.  My condolences and best wishes.

Dear Heather,  I'm so sorry for your loss.  You've been through a great deal with the deaths of both your parents in such a short span of time.  I've sent a letter to their p.o. box for you. Heather, our sympathies are with you. My mother, Janet Boring, fondly remembers working for your dad at the bank, and his ecouragement for her to "move up" from secretary to full service banker. I remember both of your parents as enthusiastic supporters of you and all of us in the class of 82. Peace be to their memories.

My sincere condolences to you, Heather. Though we have never met, I wanted you to confirm to you what I suspect you already know: that your dad and your mom were very special people who will be missed  by just about every person who ever knew them.  I never saw your mom after we graduated from college (though we were close high school friends) and I visited your dad only once about 15 years ago at his office in Tacoma while in the Seattle area visiting our daughter and grandchildren. I hope the support and love of those around you will sustain you now and in the days to come,

Lynn had a talent for making you feel as though you were the only person in the room; the only person that mattered; his favorite! I left Russell almost 10 years ago but have very fond memories of Lynn and have thought of him often over the years. He will be missed.

It  is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of a great gentleman, Lynn Anderson.  We have many happy memories.  Lynn had a wonderful way of making all people feel so special.  Loved his humor!   Our love to you, Heather.

Lynn was a dear friend and mentor, and I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him for years. He was always supportive and encouraging, at work and personally, and I always looked forward to the time I got to spend with him. He was the quintessential gentleman, always very down to earth and so quick with joke and a laugh (mostly at his own expense!). He had the best stories, and had the special grace for always knowing right things to say.  Heather, I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss, and I wanted you to know that Lynn will always live on in my heart! God bless you.
