We're saying our goodbyes to our mom today. she lived well, worked 41 years at bellevue's overlake memorial hospital from its beginning. Born in Prosser, WA. moved to Seattle when logging was still big around lake washington. Graduated from Kirkland High school, worked in the Houghton shipyards back in the day. married a scoundrel of a sailor from Wisconsin, they raised four boys, chickens, rabbits and a few dogs and cats. doctors only gave her a few years after a broken hip over a dozen years ago, and also suffered several spinal compression fractures. fighting pain and infections, she wins, already free from the suffering and worries. She enjoyed quilting to the end, lifetime activity at Rose Hill Presbyterian Church, and cooking, especially with QVC products. we'll miss you mom, especially at holidays, but good to know you're in good company with so many friends and family already at home. Arrangements entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue, WA.
