Marion Junior Davis was born December 23, 1930 in Eldorado, Kansas, to Marion and Lella Davis and died August 30, 2011 at his home in Clyde Hill, Washington. He grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, attending schools there through junior college. In 1950 he joined the Army Air Force and served three and a half years in Japan. He then worked 38 years for the National Cash Register Company (NCR) being transferred to the Pacific NW in 1963.
He loved his family, good friends, preparing gourmet meals, listening to and singing music, attending the theater and going to the latest movie. He also loved planning trips and traveling. He enjoyed all sports, but he loved playing baseball and senior softball.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 53 years, his sons Mark (Linda), Michael (Diane); 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his son, Marty.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Evergreen Hospice Services 12822 124th Lane NE, Kirkland, WA 98034.
