Michael Anthony Marsh Age 61, of Bellevue, WA, passed away February 27, 2012 at his home. He was a widower to his beloved wife, Karen, who passed away in 2007. He was the loving father of Michaela, KymberLee and Kelsey Marsh. His father, Alfonso Marsh, his birth mother, Wilma Pickard, his mother, Betty Jane Marsh and his brother, Alfonso Marsh II, preceded Michael in death. He is survived by his sisters, RaSharon Thomas of Lansing, MI and Patricia Solomon of Salem, OR.
Michael was born in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Medical Lake High School in Medical Lake, Washington. After being honorably discharged from the Navy for his services in the Vietnam War in 1972 he came back to Washington and moved to Bellevue in 1976, where he met Karen. They were married March 27, 1982. They started their family in 1985 with the birth of Michaela, KymberLee followed in 1987 and Kelsey in 1988. Michael was an amazing father and loved every second he had with his daughters. He never missed a swim meet, basketball game, softball game or track meet when his girls were competing. Michael was extremely proud of the fact that all of his children graduated from college, proudly boasting Washington State University and Central Washington University apparel whenever he could.
Michael’s passion for other people came through many times throughout his life and most recently when he was supervising a crew at Boeing who were working on building the newest addition to the Boeing Fleet, the 787-Dreamliner. Those of us that knew him will miss his sense of humor and most of all his wisdom and kindness. Michael always had a joke to make anyone laugh.
