Michael was born in Portland, Oregon to the parents of Betty and Jack Tupper on May 9, 1944. He and his family moved to Bellevue, Washington in 1952. He attended Bellevue High School and graduated in the class of 1962.
Following school, he served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving stateside. He received the Air Force Commendation Medal.
Michael was survived by wife Constance, son Bradley, daughter Kathryn, grandchildren Emmy and Ethan, and sister Cindy.
