We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved matriarch, Priscilla Meyer, passed away on February, 3, 2021. A wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Priscilla was born on April 21, 1940, in Miles City, Montana to Margaret and Richard “Dick” Jones. After the family relocated to Washington State, Priscilla graduated from Bellevue High School in 1956 and later attended Seattle University. Priscilla loved the water – she spent her summers boating, taking trips to the San Juan Islands, Hawaii, and Victoria BC, and later enjoyed waterfront living full time after moving to Lake Sammamish in 1976. Priscilla met Charles “Chuck” Meyer while working at a local radio station, and after raising their two children, Scott and Kelli, she returned to a successful career at North Star Appraisal before retiring in the mid-nineties. Priscilla’s son, Scott Meyer Sr., tragically passed away in 2006. Priscilla loved her grandchildren, Scott Meyer, Jr. and Jenifer Hurley, dearly. She was blessed with a great-granddaughter, Dalia, in 2014 and welcomed a new great-granddaughter, Nina, in 2016.
Those who knew Priscilla were treated to an amazing sense of humor, and if they were lucky, shared perfectly crafted meals prepared by her. She loved to cook, spend time in her garden, and when finally settled down for the day, she was an avid reader. Selfless and kind, Priscilla was a dear friend to many. In the spirit of her kindness (and also her love of animals), in lieu of flowers, a donation to Pasado’s Safe Haven (https://www.pasadosafehaven.org) would be truly appreciated.
