Ray graduated from The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy as the engineering officer aboard a minesweeper, the USS Advance. Ray was a retired engineer from various national companies.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeannette, daughter Annette, sons Gregory and Courtenay and wife Kelsey, and his grandsons, Julien and Jayden. In addition, he is survived by a brother, Ronald Bernier and sister, Ann Marie Dragon (Robert) of Connecticut and numerous nieces and nephews. His family will dearly miss him.
Catholic funeral memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place S.E., Bellevue, WA.
