

Robert A. George was known to all as a magnificent man who would do anything for anyone. Born to Robert F. and Jewell E. George on June 30th, 1928 in Broken Bow Oklahoma, he graduated from Kelso High School (class of 1948) and went on to attend Lower Columbia College in Longview, and later the University of Washington in Seattle. He proudly served his country as a pilot and air traffic controller in the United States Air force from 1952-1957. While stationed in Watertown NY in 1955 the handsome young First Lieutenant met his radiant, soon to be wife, Wilma. After a romantic courtship, the two were wed in Anchorage Alaska on June 22, 1956. The couple settled in Bellevue Washington in 1961 where they raised 5 wonderful, loving children. Robert worked as a Package Engineer at Longview Fiber in Seattle until he retired in 1992.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers, Billy and Don. He is survived by his wife Wilma, of 56 amazing years, his children; Denise, Dorothy (Dale), Thomas, Patricia (Dan), and James (Lynne), His grandchildren; Karla, Stacey and Cooper, and his sisters; Margaret Yockey and Betty Bennett.
The things you taught us will live on forever in our lives. Your sense of humor will forever bring peace to our hearts and a laugh to our lips. We will always cherish your memory. Father of five, Dad to many. We love you Bob George, our Hero.
