Additionally, she joined Volksmarch walking events with her husband and continued after his passing in 1993. She also traveled some with her sister Jane Tedder (Lawrence, KS). Her dry mid-western sense of humor and groan-worthy puns, along with her faith in God, got her through a trying and rewarding life. She will be missed by her three surviving children, five grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, her sister and those who had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with her, including the countless students, whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to NPR.
