

Warren graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy and went on to earn mechanical engineering and naval architecture degrees from MIT. His sharp mind and commitment to service led him to a distinguished career of more than 20 years in the United States Coast Guard rising to the rank of Commander, where he was known for his leadership and integrity.
After retiring from active service, Warren continued to shape the maritime world through his work with Exploration Cruise Lines and Foss Maritime. At Foss Maritime, he designed and managed the building of many of Foss' tug boats. His expertise, steady presence, and problem‑solving instincts left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends across the industry.
Warren is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Diane, and his daughters, Melissa and Amanda, who carry forward his strength, humor, and love. He was a devoted grandfather to Bella, Jacob, and Lucas McAndrew, who brought him immense joy and who will grow up hearing stories of the remarkable man he was. He also leaves behind his sister Debra and brother David.
Warren left this world on April 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family he built and cherished. He had struggled with dementia for the last few years.
He will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his calm steadiness, his devotion to family, and a life lived with purpose, service, and quiet excellence.
