Wiesława was born on November 30, 1958 in Poznań, Poland to Kazimierz and Bożena Kotliński. She grew up in Poznań and later immigrated to Germany, Canada, and then landed in the USA to start her legacy as the first in our family here. She lived in Florida for 11 years before relocating to Washington to ensure her entire family was in close proximity.
Wiesława dedicated her life to children and education. She has two masters and one Phd. With her education, she inspired and led people, but most importantly saved countless children’s lives. She had a passion for helping others, and always welcomed everyone with open arms and a delicious plate of food. Her warmth, strength and unwavering love left a lasting impact on everyone she came in contact with.
She is now home in heaven with her parents and eldest sister, and sister-in-law who passed earlier this year. She is survived by her three children, Żaneta, Sebastian, and Konwalia; her four grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, Marcus, and Jayden; and her elder brother Geniu Kotliński, and elder sister Elżbieta Zielińska.
A traditional Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Louise Catholic Church. All who knew and loved Wiesława are welcome.
