I prayed that the Lord would have mercy on your soul and that you would rest peacefully, relieved of the pain and suffering.  It brought some comfort to see you for the last time with an undisturbed and stress-free appearance.  

You can rest knowing that the children you raised,(in a difficult environment) have all turned out to be decent adults. Whatever you did, it was right on.

Yo se que estaba bien enfermito el día de mi boda, pero usted fue tan fuerte y me acompañó en ese día tan importante en mi vida. Le doy gracias a Diosito porque me lo aguardo un poquito mas para que me entregara. Gracias por esta memoria tan especial!

Bueno no se por donde empesar no ay palabras en mi boca pero voy a ablar con el corazon mi padre era un padre ejemplar que supo sacar a su 6 hijos al frente RAFAEL, JUANA, MAYRA, MARIA, JESUS  y YO padre mio yo le doy las gracias a dios porque pude estar con tigo los ultimos 2 meses de su vida fueron retos desvelos pero valieron la pena si usted padre supiera cuanta falta me hace en estos momentos mi casa se siente sola sin usted pero usted vive en mi corazon gracias dios mio por el padre tan lindo que me prestastes que si yo en otra vida volveria a a escojer a un padre yo lo elejiria a usted lo amo lo extraño y recurde que algun dia volveremos a encontranos

"What made you a good man was not the ability to make a child, it was the courage to raise one". For that I want to thank you and for always being that funny, charismatic, and positive guy. I appreciate everything you did for my mom, brother, and me. You gave us the opportunity to create a better future for our selfs in this country. Thanks to you I'm becoming the person I want to be. I promised you i would finish college and become someone important, I'm on my way to success Dad . I would also like to thank you for all the wonderful memories you left us. That special memory that would forever leave an imprint in my heart would be the day i graduated  elementary school. I was not expecting anyone to be there and you were there in the front row holding a teddy bear waiting for me with a smile.  You taught us a lot of things, mainly to always stay strong until the end. Being strong right now is not an option dad but I'm trying. I also remember telling you "dad one day i will be a professional soccer player and i'm going to come out on t.v" and you would always say that you couldn't wait to see me play. I will keep my promise and make you proud. You will always be in my heart, I love you daddy. Yours always your kenia.

Querido Padre,

Lo extraño muchísimo, me hace mucha falta. Yo sé que usted nos dijo que no quiere que lloremos cuando se muera, pero Papa es muy difícil contener las lágrimas con semejante pérdida.

Todavía no puedo creer que en un momento lo teníamos y en otro lo perdimos, ya se nos fue. Tengo muchísimo lamento pensando que podía pasar más tiempo con usted y compartir más historias con usted, pero ha aprendido a aceptar esto como una lección, lección dura pero lección todavía, uno debe de demostrar el amor y apreciación en la vida y no esperar a que todo ya ha terminado. 

Hay Papacito me siento muy triste que falleció, siempre voy a ser su reflejo y nunca lo olvidare. El dolor que siento no se puede describir, yo sé que desde allá arriba siempre estará acompañándome. 

Lo extraño mucho, y doy gracias que me dejo en la compañía de mis hermanos y hermanas para tener apoyo y seguir juntos adelante, más Fuertes que nunca. Lo vamos hacer muy orgulloso de nosotros.

Gracias Papa por todo que hiso para mí y su familia en la vida, hiso todo lo que pudo y eso nunca se va a olvidar.

Thank God you are resting now. Now you can see and walk. Your passing will be difficult to accept, but like a scar your memory will always be present. Your life is your legacy. We will also remember you for your generosity and your selflessness. Your love to your family was always evident through your actions.
