Dolly was joyfully reunited with her devoted husband of 66 years, William Wilson, who greeted her with open arms after a lifetime of shared love, faith, and partnership. Their marriage stood as a beautiful testament to commitment, devotion, and enduring love.
She was the beloved mother of two daughters, Ruth (Wayne) Coffaa and Dee (Dennis Martin) Banks, whom she loved deeply and supported faithfully throughout their lives.
Dolly’s heart truly shined brightest in her role as a grandmother. She was lovingly known by her five grandchildren—Amy (Dan) Ahlers, Rebecca (Mike) Bonin, Jamie (Brent) Ragland, Laura (Brooks Montgomery) Hatfield, and Jeremiah (Shelby) Banks—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Some of her most cherished memories were made fishing with her grandchildren, patiently guiding small hands, sharing quiet conversations, and creating moments that would last a lifetime. She delighted in their laughter, encouraged their dreams, and surrounded each of them with unwavering love and prayer.
Her joy multiplied even further with the arrival of her seven great grandchildren—Jackson, Aaron, Emily, Braden, Braxton, Maya, and Beau—who brought renewed light and happiness into her life. She treasured every visit, story, and smile, and took great pride in watching her family continue to grow.
Dolly is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her beloved sister Darlene, as well as many cousins and cherished great nieces and great nephews who will forever hold her memory close.
A woman of strong faith, Dolly found great comfort in reading her Bible, which guided her life and grounded her spirit. She loved singing, traveling, bird watching, and spending quiet moments reading her favorite books and scripture. Summers spent in South Dakota held a special place in her heart—times filled with family, fresh air, and peaceful days that she fondly remembered and spoke of often. She found beauty in God’s creation and peace in the simple blessings of everyday life.
Those who knew Dolly will remember her as gentle, kind, and steadfast—someone whose love was constant and whose faith was reflected in how she lived each day. Her favorite verse that reflected the way she lived her life is Psalm 100:1–2: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the life Dolly lived and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
