James lived a very colorful life and touched countless hearts along the way. He held many different jobs, including a police officer, a Baptist pastor, and a postman, always a servant to his community. He will be remembered as a larger-than-life character who was everyone’s best friend.
He will be missed dearly by his wife of 20 years, Peri Heffernan; his children, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Megan; and his large extended family and many friends.
A celebration of James’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Burial will follow in Bentonville cemetery.
