She was born on March 10, 1949 in Berryville, Arkansas to parents Harold & Jerry Ray and later graduated from Cassville High School in 1966.
Leona married Mike Webb on January 18, 1969 in Bentonville, AR and made it their home for over 51 years.
Leona served the LORD tirelessly, with all of her being, while working full time for the USDA and raising her three sons. This entailed working on several church committees, including feeding and nurturing families in need, the offering committee as well as teaching Sunday School. She had a tender and compassionate heart for people that did not know the LORD, the less fortunate/benevolent, and a deep discernment for children. Leona often identified other’s needs, possessed a servant’s heart, and treated everyone with respect and dignity.
Leona’s passions involved being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved scripture and her daily devotional, gospel music, and carpooling to Bible studies with friends. She also enjoyed summer camping & boating trips to the lake, working in the yard, but consistently any activity that involved her family. Leona’s talents were many, but decorating her home was monumental during Christmas, her most cherished time of the year. Multiple Christmas trees could be seen from the street, as well as lights, ribbons/bows and figurines always perfectly placed throughout the house. She always made life special and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband Mike, her sons Todd Webb of Fayetteville, AR, Aaron & Shannon Webb of Pea Ridge, AR, Jim & Kellie Webb of Bentonville, AR, her grandchildren Hunter, Cole, Macey, Finley, Luke and Bennett, and a granddaughter due in April, her sisters Loretta & Wayne Writer & Leta & Darrel Williams, her mother Jerry Ray, and many nieces & nephews that were very dear to her as well.
