Margie I. Nichols, 80, of Gravette passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at home. She was born October 30, 1930 in Benton County, AR to the late Elmer and Beulah Swank. She was raised on the farm as a child and helped her father irrigate strawberries in California growing up. She enjoyed gardening and going to pony pulls and tractor shows. She married Lawrence Nichols April 3, 1954 and worked at the poultry co-op for Tyson foods for 28 years before retiring. She loved visiting with family and friends.
Margie is survived by her 3 children, Lawrence J. Nichols and wife Lanna of Gravette, Ernest H. Nichols and wife Lisa of Bentonville, and Billy W. Nichols of Gravette; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
There will be a gathering of family and friends 10am Saturday September 3, 2011 at Living Waters United Methodist Church in Centerton. She will be laid to rest next to her mother in Gamble Cemetery at a later date.
