Phyllis Gruetzmacher

Phyllis Lucella Gruetzmacher, 91 of Pea Ridge, Arkansas passed away into her heavenly home on Tuesday October 21, 2025. She was born on May 12, 1934 in Merrill, WI to Arno August and Hazel Pick. She was baptized on June 3, 1934 and confirmed May 16, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in WI.

Phyllis married Elroy Raymond Gruetzmacher at the age of 18 on May 31, 1952 in Merrill, WI. She was a homemaker and author of multiple books, including several children’s books which she also illustrated. She was an avid arts and crafts enthusiast her entire life and enjoyed sharing this with her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter Sharon of Pea Ridge, AR and son, Randy and daughter-in-law, Barbara of Rogers, AR. Her two grand daughters, Pamela Greenlee of Bella Vista, AR and Jennifer and Nathan Frazier of Rogers, AR. Three great grandchildren, Roman and Dean Greenlee and Sloan Frazier.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Elroy in 2018.

Burial will be at the National Veterans Cemetery at Fayetteville, Arkansas. Memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ the King Church’s Food Ministries in Bentonville.
