Blanche passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the age of 95 years. She was born September 4, 1915, in Duncan, OK to William C. and Ida Phillips the youngest of 5 girls. She lived a full and happy life. Graduating from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1934, she married Albert Lee Spears on August 10, 1936 in Purcell, OK. They enjoyed 58 years together traveling and enjoying friends and family. Al passed away in February of 1995.
Blanche was a very active member of Crestwood Baptist Church loving and teaching many, which included numerous children over the years. The real love of her life was her family. She loved her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and just this past year welcomed her first great-great grandson, and was looking forward to her second great-great grandchild the first of next year.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Littleton, her husband Tom of Oklahoma City, and their three children; Dr. Todd Littleton and wife Patty, daughter Kimberly Ragsdale and her husband Craig, and GG's first great-great grandson Cohen Alan, all of Tuttle, OK, and daughter Tommie Marshell and husband Jason, who are expecting GG's second great-great grandchild in January, 2012 of Oklahoma City; the Rev. Paul Littleton and wife Vera Lynne, and children Jessica, Wesley, Kelsey and Victor, all of Sapulpa, OK. Trent Littleton and wife Sandra, and their two daughters Amanda and Emalee of Wylie, TX. Blanche is also survived by her son Ken Spears and his wife Jane, their two sons Mike Spears and Phillip Spears and wife Emily and sons, Brady and Grant all of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many sweet friends. A special thanks to Marge Todd for always going over and above to make sure GG and all our family had what we needed.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Baptist Village, and the Autumn Bridge Hospice for their wonderful care given Mom over these past days.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 10:30 am at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK. Viewing will be Wednesday at Bill Merritt Funeral Home 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK. In lieu of flowers please make any memorials to Faith Baptist Church, 7100 E. Hwy 117, Sapulpa, OK or to Snow Hill Baptist Church, 11 S. Morgan Road, Tuttle, OK 73089.
