Oklahoma City resident Bryan H. Jaekel, age 78, passed away December 13, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was born March 2, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Milo and Lucille (Schwabe) Jaekel. After graduating high school, Bryan joined the United States Army. He was transferred to Ft. Sill in Lawton. He met and married Nedra K. Miles on November 16, 1965 in Oklahoma City. Bryan and Nedra both worked for Hobby Lobby for a combined total of 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nedra Jaekel of the home; sons, Eric Curtis Jaekel and wife Sidney of Bartlesville, Dexter Jaekel and wife Schawna of Bartlesville, and Jay Daniel Jaekel of Houston; grandchildren, Courtney Jaekel and Jason Jaekel of Houston; and great grandchildren, Izzi, Judha, Magnolia, and Bruno of Bartlesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Oklahoma City Rescue Mission.
Bryan will be inurned at Ft. Sill National Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 there are no services planned at this time.
