David Ernest Lee

David Ernest Lee, age 71, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer. He was born January 9, 1952 in Sanford, Florida to James E. and Vivian Joyce (McDaniel) Lee. Early in his life, David found that he had a gift for fixing things and spent his career doing what he loved. After retirement, he met the love of his life, Tina, and moved to Oklahoma to be with her in 2015. He helped open the Sam's Club on 39th and May where he worked in the maintenance department. David was kind, generous, and funny. He was the definition of someone who "never met a stranger". To know David was to love him. He was generous with his time and willingness to help out his family, neighbors, and friends. David was a faithful member of Crossings Community Church OKC and was steadfast in his belief in Jesus Christ. He often told everyone, including strangers, how God delivered him from smoking and drinking over 35 years ago. David's booming laugh, ornery smile, and twinkling eyes will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Lynn Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Chad David and Cari Ann Lee and their children, Connor and Camryn; son, Dustin Ryan Lee and his children, Isabella and Jason; daughter, Meghan Joyce Lee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Lorayne Lee, Duane and Sue Lee; stepchildren, Tim and Jessica O'Keeffe and their children Raven, Leilah, Maya, and Lorkan; Jon and Aspen O'Keeffe and their children, Ruby, Miles, and Oliver; Chrissy O'Keeffe and her daughter Ashlyn; Mike and Megan O'Keeffe and their children Solon and Jamie; and Faith O'Keeffe; as well as a host of other family and dear friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Integris Cancer Institute for their love and care of David.

A Celebration of David's life will be Saturday, December 16th at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Sanford, 418 Park Avenue, Sanford, FL. 32771
