

Donald Ray Geionety, age 78, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024. He was born January 22, 1946 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Warren and Susie Geionety. He grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Central High School. He met the love of his life, Vivian Crawford, in 1982 and they enjoyed 42 years together. Don became a father figure to Vivian’s children and loved them unconditionally and supported them in all their endeavors. Don was a pool player and he and Vivian enjoyed playing in tournaments together. He was also an OU Football and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved music and had a large collection of records, specifically Rock and Roll from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as classic country. He was a graduate of Okmulgee Tech. Don was proud of his Kiowa heritage and loved to share his history. He was a great-great grandson of the last Chief of the Kiowa Tribe. He was also the third cousin of Red Cloud. He was a kind and loving man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Geionety; half-brother, Darrel Wilson; and granddaughter, Erin Powell.
He is survived by his soul mate, Vivian Crawford; children, LaDonna Daniel and husband Mark, Tina Crawford, Gina Osborn and husband Dirk, Ross Powell, and Ronald Powell and wife Kristina; 21 grandchildren, Starlina, Justina, Dallas, Amber, Haley, Brad, Deacan, Baylee, Austin, Maegan, Jesse, Shellby, Seth, Jessica, Tristan, Zaydan, Mia, Danyel, Allie, Teaira, and Alexis; 8 great grandchildren, Serenity, Tyler, Chelsi, Alex, Lucchese, Hazeleigh, John, and Legend; half-sister, Sondra Wilson; half-brother, Titus Wilson; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Monday, January 29, 2024 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
Services will be 2pm Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
